This is your land.

Whether it’s quiet solitude in the shade of swaying pines, a reliable long-term investment in standing timber, or both, you have a vision for what you want your land to provide.

Our goal is to help you realize that vision. With decades of experience and a deep belief in stewardship, we offer conscientious and professional land management tools to meet your objectives.

Long-Term Forest Planning

Thoughtful and professional forest planning, with your objectives in mind. Management plans include forest stand delineation and mapping, forest health, wildfire fuels, and wildlife habitat assessments. All plans are developed with implementation in mind and guaranteed to meet Washington DNR Forest Stewardship and Timber Management plan standards, and to satisfy county tax requirements.

Clients can also incude a Silvicultural Exam with their Management Plan. Silvicultural Exams include inventories and current economic assessments of standing timber, treatment prescriptions, harvest timelines and reforestation recommendations.

Wildfire Fuel Reduction and Small Tree Thinning

All forests in the western US evolved with fire, either lightning-caused or via cultural burning. Wildfire seasons are becoming longer and fires more intense, partially driven by high fuel loads caused by a century or more of fire exclusion. By reducing the amount of available fuels on your property, you can help reduce fire activity and limit its spread. Removing competing vegetation also reallocates sunlight and soil moisture to the trees you want to keep, providing them the resources they will need to grow vigorously into the future.

Protect your home and timber resources by giving firefighters the upper hand. Fuel reduction work includes:

  • Thinning and pruning

  • Mastication/Mulching

  • Low intensity prescribed fire

Post-fire Recovery

Wildfires can radically alter the condition of your land, creating safety hazards and, as trees die off and fall over, increasing fuel hazard over time. Insects and fungi will attack fire-weakened trees, decreasing their economic value and limiting the landowner’s options for management.

However, fire-killed trees and burned landscapes can also quickly develop into valuable wildlife habitat. The natural cycle of seral development is important.

We can help you develop and implement a plan that balances financial with ecological recovery. Services include:

  • Small-scale salvage logging and mastication of fire debris

  • Reforestation and seeding of native plants

  • Hazard tree removal

Forest management is crucial for maintaining ecological balance and protecting communities from wildfire risks. By reducing excess vegetation, effective fuel management minimizes wildfire intensity, safeguards property and wildlife, and supports resilient forest ecosystems.
